Make up essentials for all seasons part 1

Hi everyone!
You don't even know how awful I feel that I haven't been posting for so long. I promised not to do that months ago, but I broke my promise again :/  Now I'd better stopped making excuses and just write about something interesting and quite important to me.
Today I want to present you all my makeup essentials that I would probably die without. The order is the same as the order I use all those cosmetics.

   1. Mattifying emulsion and base balm
My favourite and prescripted by my dermatologist mattifying emulsion by Iwostin is definetely best you could buy for your skin if you have the same oily and acne skin as I do. Apart from mattifying effect that stays for a long time, the emulsion absorbs sebum and helps to gradually diminish its amount. It doesn't get stuck in pores, has a light consistency and is fully hypoallergenic. Here is some more information about this product.

After applying Iwostin emulsion I use the Porefessional base by Benefit Cosmetics. At first I was quite sceptical and thought that it is just not working but after some time I realised I was mistaken and this product is really good. Every time when my pores are visibly extended I know I can count on the Porefessional base. Unfortunately it's not dirt cheap and I realise not every one can afford it, but it's very efficient and worth investing. Here is where you can buy this product.

    2. Foundation
After a year of using Maxfactor Face Finity foundation I decided to change it because of the pink shade that has been driving me crazy for some time. It was perfect to me apart from the colour which was a little bit too pink. After accidentially breaking the last bottle of Maxfactor foundation I thought I would never find something better but surprisingly I have found my new love. Revlon Colorstay foundation is more than ideal. It has everything I need plus it fits my skin perfectly. It is light, little bit mattifying, has medium coverage, absorbs the surplus of sebum as it's dedicated for oily skin types, doesn't get stuck in pores and most of all stays for a long long time. I give it 10/10 points even for price - not that cheap but super efficient. Here is where to buy this product.

    3. Concealers
Here I'm presenting you my favourite 3 concealers - each has a special use. The first one is True Match Concealer by L'Oreal. I've been using it for ages and would never swap it. Perfect for covering pimples and blotches or some red spots and blemishes, with high coverage and creamy, wet consistence. Next one is 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream by Bourjois. Covers all dark circles around eyes, cools the skin and stays for a long time. Makes the face look young, radiant and fresh. The last one is Studio Finish Concealer by MAC - my special agent. I use it only in worst situations f.ex. to cover a huge, new-in surprise that appeared on my face out of blue the previous night. It's very dense, thick and has a very high coverage. Can't be use as a eye concealer, but deals with great problems perfectly. Here are the links for all three products:
L'Oreal True Match Concealer
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream
MAC Studio Finish Concealer

It's everything for now! I hope my opinion on those cosmetics is going to help you to make some decisions :) Next part of this post is going to appear soon so check out my blog every day!
XOXOXO
Kate

Healthy snacks: black hedhehogs

Hi! It's me again! I am so sorry for not having written for so long but my duties overwhelmed me entirely and it was very difficult to find even a shred of time for you. But as I have finally found it I want to use it well. So this time I want to share with you my own ideas for healthy snacks. I've been on a winter diet for some time, but I still have some dificulties with getting accustomed to sweets ban. I wouldn't be myself if I didn't make up my own recipes for healthy and dietary tidbits. That is how I composed my first recipe - black hegehogs. Honestly it is going to be hard to give you the exact amount of ingredients since I added each one quite spontaneously and ,,much about". But let's give it a shot :)
XOXOXO Katie

Black Hedgehogs
- 3 tbsp oatmeal
- 1 tbsp oat bran
- 1 tbsp rye bran
- 1 tbsp dryed goji berries
- 1/2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1/2 small orange
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp 0% natural yogurt
- 1 tbsp 2% milk
- 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder

1. Take a cereal bowl and pour oatmeal, bran, goji berries and sunflower seeds. Mix well.
2. Take another cereal bowl and pour yogurt, honey and milk and stir until smooth.
3. Add yogurt-milk-honey mix to oatmeal mix until moist and sticky. Don't add everuthing if not needed.
4. Pour cocoa powder and stir well.
5. Finally squeeze orange juice onto dough and mix.
6. Set oven to 180'C.
7. Pass dough into tiny muffin - 1 coffee spoon to each one.
8. Bake for about 15 min or less - hedgehogs should be moist but crunchy on the top.

Bon Appetit!

Chilly gloom till black

 Dear Fashion Victims!
Once again I'm presenting you my outfit but this time each photo is taken outdoors. Let's describe my look briefly. What you have to know is that today was very gloomy and dismal and so my outfit is - dark and a bit rough. I picked short-sleeve georgette shirt with two black pockets made of leather. For the bottom part I chose leggins-like black pants. Not to make everything look too official and stiff I selected my running purple and navy shoes as fitting footwear. When it comes to jewellery I used my new-in silver chain necklace. Because of chilly weather I put on my favourite black leather ramones with silver elements. Honestly I have to admit that while taking pictures I was literally freezing, but if your winter is a little bit hotter than 5`C, this look is just for you :) Again I hope you like it, especially this sporty and fancy blend part.
XOXOXO Katie

Rocker flower power

Dear Fashionistas!
As you have probably guessed today's post is on fashion or rather the way I percieve it. I've lately read a lot about 2013 fashion weeks and there was one particular trend I still can't take my mind off - skirt-over-trousers. It seems strange and peculiar but this is what makes it actually intriguing, so I decided to follow my fashion week friends and wear skirt and jeans simultaneously too. Since the skirt I wanted to use had some floral prints, the best top I could possibly choose to make the whole look gripping was the one with floral motif. Knowing that I've already had colourful top and patterned bottom, I needed to pick a plain rest. Therefore I've selected black flats with square heel and powder pink envelope-shape clutch with golden elements. Finally not to make the entire outfit look simple, I added oversize golden hand watch and black classic bowler. Moreover I did my best to make my makeup look a little bit grunge and dun. Taking under concideration present temperatures in Poland the outfit seems to be perfect for winter :) If you are the kind of girl who likes cheeky appearance and always adds some spice to hers looks, this one is just for you! Hope you like it and please be lenient - my camera is not so good, so the pictures are poor quality, but I promise to fix it somehow.
XOXOXO Katie

Lip me well

Dear Makeup Gals!
This time I would like to write about lipcare as the winter comes and our lips will be exposed to extreme temepratures way below 0°C . It is significant to look after those pretty pink friends because they are quite useful during normal day especially for those of us who have already found their latter half. Bear in mind that lip gloss, lip balm and lipstick are three utterly different products and not all of them are suitable for winter. Let's start with lip glosses. As far as I'm concerned these are the ones I like the most. Their texture, variety of colours, lightness and ease of applying make them my favourites. When it comes to particular brands I can certainly recommend Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss Vixen from Decadence Collection - its firm and heavy texture makes it perfect for winter temperatures. Besides the colour is deep and long-lasting. The next one is Dior Addict Gloss Atout Coeur which actually belongs to my mum, but in fact I use it more frequently. The shade is simillar to my lips', that is why it is quite neutral. The texture is so smooth and pleasant that you want to apply it every 5 minutes. The Dior's gloss is also thick and stays on lips for a very long time but it gives you surprisingly good moisture, that is why it is also great for low temperatures. The one I can recommend too is Guerlain Maxi Shine Gloss D'Enfer Guimauve - it is light and delicate and gives not as distinct effect as previously mentioned ones, but this is an adventage to me. Unfortunately, it won't provide your lips with great hydration. Nevertheless it looks just amazing, therefore I love it.

The next category are lipbalms. In my short life I have already had millions of them because I'm the kind of person who looses lip conditioners no matter how hard I try to avoid it. Thanks to that I had an opportunity to try out a huge amount and now I know which one to recommend. The first to mention should be my fave - Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer - the simpliest and basic one. It gives such great moisture that you immediately fall in love with it. Neutrogena Lip Balm is extremly inexpensive and just ideal for winter - no matter what you are planning to do - skiing, ice skating or just having a stroll - all you need is this lip moisturizer. If you want your balm to give your lips extra colour then go to nearest drugstore or Walmart and buy Maybelline Baby Lips which gives you amazing hydration AND one of six exceptional shades. But when it is the taste of the lip balm that you care the most, then buy Lip Smacker and enjoy the flavour of blueberry muffin or vanilla coke while having ideally soft lips. Obviously I can't forget about iconic Clinique Chubby Stick that works like lipstick but gives you the moisture typical for lip balms. However, Chubby Stick is the luxurious version of lip balm. If you're looking for cheaper repleacement, choose Sephora Crayon Lip Pencil which is similar to Clinique, but definetely less expensive.

Our last category are lipsticks. What I need to say is that lipsticks are usually not as moisturizing as lip balms, so you'd better used a lip balm as a base before applying a lipstick. When it comes to me I use one and only - L'Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Sweet Berry. Yes, of couse, I have heard of MAC Lipsticks or YSL ones, but as I'm not the fan of lipsticks I don't want to spend much money on something I use rather rarely. Anyway, L'Oreal lipstick is just incredible - it moisturizes, gives ultra rich colour and stays for hours on my lips. So now you know why I am going to use it throughout the winter.
I suppose THIS IS ALL for now. I know this post is extremly long and I am even to tired to read it again and optionally correct. Enjoy my sweethearts!
XOXOXO Katie

After Eve comes joy

Hello Santas! At first I want to apologise to those of you who waited yesterday for a post - I am very sorry for letting you down, but Christmas Eve is a special day for my family and we are used to celebrate it even till the very midnight, so after that I was too fed up to write for you. But now my energy is back and I would love to share my best christmas moments.
Everything was totally different than before - my aunt with her husband were present, my ill grandma came, which was a nice surprise for me and for the first time I didn't feel this excitement before opening presents as I used to  - I must have simply grown up. Besides I tried only two or three dishes so my stomach wasn't upset just like it usually is after such great feast. When it comes to presents my Santa was very generous this year - I won't reveal what I got but you will probably see at least one of those items in my forthcoming outfitts :) If you were interested in recipes for any of presented dishes, just write it in comment and I will certainly reply. Merry Christmas once again my sweethearts!
XOXOXO Katie
